  • Collaring clay(helps learn forms like Bottle shapes, spouts, vases), 

  • Learning to make two walled pieces(helps learn shapes like donut, Chip and Dip bowl, double walled Mugs)

  • Two part forms like Lidded jars and casseroles

  • End the course with learning to make a Teapot set

  • Explore with slip on the final works

  • The course covers firing of 6 pieces + 1 test tile

NOTE: You can make pieces beyond 6. The chargers will apply depending on the size of the work. There will be a gap between your last day of class and glazing session as your pieces will need to dry and then be fired. This break could be up to 2-4 weeks before you prepare them and glaze them for the 2nd firing of your works. Once the works are fired again, you will be informed. You can get them picked up within 2 weeks.

This course is designed for experienced adult potters ready to move beyond standard functional forms. Students will explore complex wheel-thrown and multi-part vessels, including lidded forms, teapots and narrow-neck pieces. The course focuses on a small cohesive body of work that reflects each student’s personal approach to form and function.
